Dallas Service Forum
Dallas Service Forum (DSF), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1977 as Dallas Junior Forum (DJF) to create greater interest among women in civic, educational and philanthropic endeavors in the North Texas community through volunteer work focused on children, families and the elderly. DJF was one of nine chapters of Junior Forum, Inc. (JFI), a Texas-based service organization originating in Houston in 1959.
In 2021, our membership voted to withdraw from JFI in order to keep all of our resources in our local community for the benefit of our partner agencies. With that decision came the name change to Dallas Service Forum and a new logo. Our focus, mission, organization and volunteer activities remain the same.

Since our inception, DSF has donated hundreds of thousands of volunteer service hours to the charitable agencies we support. In 2018-2019 fiscal year alone, DSF members volunteered more than 13,600 hours valued at $341,824 in manpower cost-savings for the nonprofit agencies we support based on the independent standards of the non-profit network Independent Sector.
Dallas Service Forum was honored to be recognized by former Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings for our 40 years of service and financial support to worthy non-profit organizations throughout North Texas. Monetary allocation for grants and other funding has been a direct result of profits from our annual Spring or Fall Fundraiser and various other fundraising events.
